MatrioshkaLabs was founded in Bengaluru in 2024 to do applied AI research and to ship the results ourselves, rather than hand them to someone else to interpret.
What we are
Research picks the question. The product proves the answer.
A lab that never ships learns nothing about how its work behaves in the hands of someone in a hurry. A product team that never researches ships the same idea as everybody else. We run both, on one roadmap, with the same people moving between them.
The work is deliberately unglamorous in places: evaluation harnesses, reviewer tooling, inference on cheap phones. Those are the parts that decide whether any of it is usable.
